__/ OVERVIEW

Despite his short range, Wario is all about combos. The
name of his game is relentless short range melee. Being smaller
makes him more difficult to hit and many of his attacks are low
making them a bit more difficult to defend while moving/escaping.
He also has a fairly easy parry and alpha counter system which
allows him to compete in close with less risk. Used properly
his focus attack and dash canceling can be used to this effect
as well.
That being said, if he does find himself out done in a close
melee, for example by a grappler or powerful brawler, he does
have plenty of ranged attacks to zone those types of opponents,
including a projectile and air projectile. He also has 4 throws
and 2 air throws which can be used to get him out of a jam.
He does not have any sort of teleport, or un-hittable
movement, but he does have a running jump with a bit more leap
than a regular jump, his dash can be held for quite a while, and
he moves equally quick forward and back, so his movement shouldn't
be too much of an issue.

__/ FOCUS ATTACKS

Wario has a Focus Attack that is very similar in nature to
those of Street Fighter 4. Hold both mediums to charge it, for
up to 3 levels of power. Wario will flash each time the power
level increases. Dust and wind also mark the 2nd and 3rd levels
respectively.
A level 1 focus attack hits like a regular knock back sending
the opponent backwards unless it lands during one of their attacks,
in which case it's a counter attack and it will crumple them.
A level 2 focus attack will crumple the opponent on any hit,
counter or not. It can be blocked, however, like a level 1.
A level 3 focus attack will crumple the opponent if they block
it, and send them flying into the wall if they don't.
The focus attack can be canceled into a dash forward or back
at any point, even after it hits, so immediately after the
opponent begins to crumple, you can dash in for combos.
Unlike Street Fighter 4, there is no super armor on Wario's
focus attack, meaning it can not absorb any hits. It can be
canceled into from many other attacks, however, which makes combos
possible in a style similar to Street Fighter 4 where a special move
can be canceled into a focus after it hits, the focus canceled into
a dash and from there, whatever you want.
Moves that can not be focus canceled are as follows.
Basics: s.QP, s.QK, s.MP1, c.QP, c.QK, c.MP
Specials: Air Fireball, Cannonball, Wustache Twister
Hypers: All

__/ PARRYS AND ALPHA COUNTERS

A parry is done by tapping forward at the moment of
impact when an opponent is attacking. It's riskier than a block
but if executed right, you will take no damage, and have no block
stun, giving you a small amount of time to counter attack.
To parry while standing, crouching or jumping tap forward. To
parry a low attack while standing, tap down. To do what's called a
"red parry", parry while still in block stun from a previous attack.

An alpha counter is done by executing a quarter circle from back
to down then pressing an attack button while blocking. If done
right, Wario will counter attack with a special move, either a
Quick Wustache Twister for high attacks, or a 100 Hand Wimp Slap
for low attacks.
Use quarter circle B,DB,D + Punch to alpha counter a high attack
and quarter circle B,DB,D + Kick to alpha counter a low attack.

__/ THROWS
Wario has 4 ground throws and 3 air throws. The 4 ground throws
can each be chained only into the next one in this sequence:

1) Spin QP + MP
2) Roll MP + SP
3) Slam MK + SK
4) Toss QK + MK

Think of it like a circle around the button pad beginning with QP.

   1 -> 2
QP MP SP
QK MK SK
   4 <- 3

Careful timing is required, however. Try to hit the buttons for the
throw your chaining into right before the throw your in resolves.
You only get one chance to hit those buttons, so if you hit them too
early (or too late obviously) it won't chain. Hitting other buttons
on accident won't affect your chance to hit the right buttons.
